As the summer comes to an end, we’re welcoming back our expedition goers from Trinidad, Tobago, Guyana, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Iceland and Islay (Remote Scotland). All seven teams have come home safe and sound, exhausted but content, and buzzing with memories!

The 2017 teams are not finished, having heaps of data to analyse and a final report to write up, but it is time to turn our attention to the 2018 expeditions. We will be introducing them over the next few weeks.

At the start of October (exact date TBA), we’ll have our ‘Proposals Evening’, where concrete plans of each expedition will be presented and applications will open.

Joining an expedition will offer students studying Zoology, Marine and Freshwater Biology, Geography or a related degree, the opportunity to gain experience in field research, collaboration, organisation and fundraising.

Third-year students and postgraduate students can choose to write their honours/masters project about the research conducted by the teams as well!

Stay tuned to get a good taste of what our expeditions are like. Feel free to like our brand new mega awesome Instagram page and share us and invite all your adventurous peers and pals.

Remember to keep an eye out on campus for our committee members over the coming weeks as they will be handing out flyers like the one pictured above, and visiting lectures!
